So I just realized it's been forever since I have posted anything. It's not a matter of there being nothing new, it's just been so busy that I haven't really put "posting on the blog" at the top of the list. I'm not going to complain about being busy since most of it is self-inflicted and revolves around the wedding. I can't believe it's only 6 weeks away - yikes! It's always something including locating enough green stripped ties for the guys (Dave can tell you how much fun that was but know that HE wanted them!). Jenna has been a trooper. When I need to run errands she's been great, she's also nailed down her favorite stores and what treat she might get out of it if she's good....Target to her = popcorn and Michaels = something off the $1 rack.
We've also managed to have lots of fun playing at the park, visiting Jen's house where she can play with all the girls, swimming, riding bike and yesterday we met Aunt Nae & Allee at grams house (grandma was sad because she had to work). We played in the kiddie pool on the deck and had lunch together. Last night we headed to downtown Holland and did some engagement pictures. The photographer was great and even though Jenna had major attitude (I know that's so hard tobelieve - haha) I'm sure there are some good ones.
One of my favorite moments of the week was on Saturday when I was washing the car and Jenna was riding her bike in the driveway. She saw her little neighbor friend down the street and asked "mom can I go see Jaiden?" I told her that was fine and off she went. Soon she was in front of Jaiden's house and there the two of them stood talking on the sidewalk. Then she jumped back on her bike and came riding back home....I'll admit I held back the tears as I realized she's getting to be such a big girl and not my baby anymore :-)
Funny moment of the weekend was shopping for a tie last Friday night. While in Younkers we were walking through the men's department looking for Dave a tie. I continued walking and Dave was near Jenna. She stopped to look at the racks of clothes and takes a pair of boxer-briefs that were on a hanger and holds them out in front of her and asks Dave "do you need to get some new underpants?" If you've heard Jenna talk you can just imagine her saying this! I don't know where underpants came from since she always refers to hers as panties but regardless Dave and I were laughing very hard and Dave was probably slightly embarrassed.
I'll post new pictures soon!
