This is what happens when...

Things are pretty much the same for the Kapenga-Meyer clan which is resulting in the lack of posts lately....and just other things that take priority! I was looking at pictures on my camera and couldn't help but laugh at a couple of them. This is what happens when...

You babysit your adorable 5 1/2 month old nephew, Silas, and your 3 1/2 year old wants to smother them with attention:

Jenna LOVED having him hear for the day and I think he had fun too. She must have worn him out with all the attention since he took two really great naps and was full of smiles when he was awake. Jenna keeps asking when he's coming again! And for the record I don't dress my daughter in short sleeves during the middle of winter, she is constantly hot and just changes her clothes whenever she feels like it.

This is apparently what happens when I have to run to the store and leave Dave and Jenna home alone with the play-doh toys out...

Jenna showed me the picture on the camera a couple days later and said "me and Dave thought it was so funny mom". I laughed and told her I thought it was gross and she replied with "ugh, we were just having fun". To Dave's defense Jenna had the flu last night and once again he stepped up to the plate to help me out and took shifts being awake on the couch with her until 4:00 am, I think he's being broken in for daddy hood quite well!

This is what happens when you hit 16 weeks with baby #2...

This week I have finally popped out a little bit to the point that I feel like I look pregnant, the worst stage in my mind because I'm stuck in the land between my own clothes that don't look right but maternity clothes are huge yet. Dave says it's funny that I say I feel pregnant but I think he's just trying to be nice :-). I have been feeling better and it's been a full week now since I've been crouched by the toilet. Everyone is already guessing boy but I can honestly say I'll take either one and just pray he/she is healthy!

Monday Dave leaves for two weeks, he'll be working in Connecticut. It will seem like a long time but I look at the bright side that it's not 7 weeks and it's not the Czech Republic like last time. At least we'll be in the same country and same time zone.

I'm the last to know everything. Conneticut huh? Cool. At least he is working!! By the way--that is so not even fair with your belly. You barely have anything there! I guess we will have to compare tonight, but I feel like I am getting huge! I know what you mean about the maternity clothes tho. I feel "stuck" in the middle right now too. My pants are getting tight enough to were I think I am going to haul the maternity ones out, but the shirts are still huge. Ahh joys of 2nd trimester.

Wendi, I didn't look like that at 16 weeks...trust me I was in maternity clothes already! You look amazing! The pictures of Jenna are great!
